Edmund caught her arm, but gently; simply to make her pause and listen. His smile angled into a frown, eyes taking on a serious expression.
"Not everyone has sad stories but I- Well, I can understand sad and dark," he replied, tilting his head down. "Just because your past is dark doesn’t mean I don’t want to know you."
she had lowered her backpack so that it hung in her hand as she glanced at the now saddened creature. she decided to be more cheery, as that was what she wanted out of life.
"well, in that case…" she said, putting her stuff down and sticking out her hand. "my name is rebel justice conagher…but i prefer to be called RJ."
she flashed a nervous smile, eyeing him with her silvery gray eyes that sparkled and radiated brightly under the sunlight. her purple streaked hair fell over her right eye some more, which reached down to her nose.
Edmund reached out, grasping her hand firmly; in the process, he released her arm.
"Nice to meet you. Edmund here," he replied, smirking somewhat.
RJ smirked back. “edmund…n-nice name.”
she rubbed the back of her neck and shuffled her weight. “maybe i can help ya with something of any sort? i enjoy helping others. it’s…kinda in my blood.”
her smile was more cheerful and comforting now.
"and by the way, i don’t mean to be rude or anything but uh, is that how you pick up…someone else…in your species? cuz i gotta say it was cheesy." she chuckles a bit, thinking he would agree.
"Cheesy is what I do," he replied with a snort. "Its much more polite and less stupid than the current days style." He crossed his arms. "And I saw the blush. It was working a little, huh?"
He then paused in consideration, before waving a paw dismissively.
"Nein, I have no problems as of now."
RJ only smiled more, hands on her waist. “ya know, you’re one of the few people or creatures that has ever even taken the time to actually talk with me, instead of just…i don’t know…push me around.”
she then looked over at her tag: a big red anarchy-like symbol, but the usual “A” people associate it with was instead an upside down red heart, with jutting lines out of it as if it were the official anarchy symbol. below it, her initials were sprayed in black with the letters coming together at the end of the “R”.
"i’m glad i ran into this place without being judged or forced to stop showing the world my mark." she added, looking over her work admiringly.
Edmund shrugged, leaning against the wall again, his arms still crossed.
"Not sure why. You’re a beautiful girl, ya know. You aren’t bitchy either; so why would anyone push you around?" He cocked his brows at her.
